What do you get when you combine sweet, smoky, and mildly spicy? Game Day wings! Flavorful wings grilled and tossed a rich maple bourbon glaze made on the PRIME300 will be a hit with everyone.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 2 tbsp of your favorite BBQ rub (we used a Maple Bourbon Blend)
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup rye whiskey (we used Iron Fish Rye Whiskey finished in maple syrup barrels)
- ⅔ cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
Directions
Prep the Wings:
Preheat your grill to 375°F.
Season the wings evenly with Maple Bourbon Rub.
Grill the Wings:
Place the wings on the grill and cook for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F).
Make the Glaze:
While the wings cook, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in whiskey, maple syrup, tomato paste, and hot sauce.
Add the rosemary sprig and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the rosemary before serving.
Toss & Serve:
- Remove wings from the grill and toss them in the warm maple bourbon sauce.
